Jenny Mullins received her BFA in Studio Art from The University of Texas at Austin and her MFA in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). She has studied at the Arrowmont School of Art, the cultural center for the arts at Santa Chiara, Italy, and later at the Vermont Studio Center. She is currently an artist-in-residence at the Arlington Art Center. Her meticulous, large-scale paintings and interactive sculptures explore notions of commercial mythology and low budget mysticism. The often comedic characters explore the dynamics of a dysfunctional human society.
